I understood him better – his affections, but still there was something missing, especially when he flirted with the maids while he was supposedly so devoted to America. We do get some great insight into Aspen’s head… although it did not make me like him any more than I already had. We should never try to force God to conform to the way we interpret them and the logic which becomes imposed by their use. Thus, our words have value, but we must understand that value is relative. Even the ways God is at work with us are mysterious, because God’s transcendent majesty means God is at work in ways which we do not know or understand. Three screenwriters, including Brown himself, were hired to work on the adaptation, and a final draft of the script was expected in early 2013. It's interesting to note that the third book in the series, The Lost Symbol, was originally planned as the follow-up to Angels & Demons. While the trailer may address Langdon's status at the beginning of the film and set up the trail of clues that he has to follow, it's unlikely that the first trailer will focus on much beyond the mystery of the switch and some of the action seen within the film. It likely won't reveal too much, of course, since part of the fun of Brown's novels (and their adaptations) is the mysteries that Langdon has to figure out. The full-length trailer is due out tomorrow, so the story of the film may be fleshed out a bit more then. ![]() |
